Agenda: Discussing Gendered Effects of the Covid-19 Pandemic.
“Clearly, we must fight the virus for all of humanity, with a focus on people, especially the most affected : women, older persons and youth.” - -Secretary-General António Guterres
The United Nations Women Committee will hold intense parleys on the multi-layered impact of Covid-19 pandemic on people of all genders. The young delegates, in their discussions and debates over the two days, will examine the gender disparities and the varied social, health and economic impact on people of all genders. The committee proceedings will allow ample scope to the delegates to examine and propose ways to achieve gender parity and reduce the disproportionate economic impact of Covid-19 on women.
